New Hampshire '52 With A View' Map 18x24 Poster

In 1990 a hiking group known as "Over The Hill Hikers" created this list of sub-4K peaks that offer great views from the top. The list is perfect for peakbaggers who have summited most or all of the NH 4000 Footers and are looking to continue exploring. Icons marking each peak are suitable for pinning or coloring so you can use this map to track your progress on the list.

The first two color options feature the 2020 list. The third option displays the 2020 list plus the 5 peaks that were retired that year (in lighter text). This is ideal for anyone who started working on the list prior to 2020, since you can still earn a patch by completing any combination of 52 from that pool of 57 peaks.

We also offer a larger map that features both the NH 4K and 52WAV lists.

Good map for visualization of list

As I tackle the 52WAV list, this map will be helpful for seeing what mountains are in what vicinities. That’s good for determine general distance from my house and what mountains I might group together on multi-night trips to the areas, car camping or backpacking. My only disappointment is the lack of major roads/routes. I know the area well having done the NH48 already, but surely the map maker can squeeze in more major route markers to help with planning.

Mountain peaks may be close together on the map, but most-often summited on different day trips. You need to see the byways nearby to better gauge, or you rely almost entirely on your good maps—with just a glance at this poster here and there. It could be better.
